Road Builders Safety Training System (RSTS)

The Road Builders Safety Training System (RSTS) is tailored specifically to the road building industry. The RSTS Basic Course contains the core elements of training that are relevant to all workers on a road builder jobsite.

This comprehensive multimedia program allows self-paced learning, it is made up of two main components: the RSTS Basic Course and 12 additional modules which may be taken after the successful completion of the RSTS Basic.

Certification is valid across Canada and does not expire. It is broken down into modules. Certificate will be issued upon completion. The modules are listed below.

  • Module 1: The Law at Work
  • Module 2: General Awareness
  • Module 3: General Roadbuilder Safety
  • Module 4: Specialized Work
  • Module 5: Traffic
  • Module 6: Utilities
  • Module 7: Excavation & Shoring
  • Module 8: WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System)

Additional RSTS modules are designed to provide a customizable training experience that allows the student to select the topics that are relevant to their specific duties on the jobsite. A certificate will be provided upon successful completion of each additional module.

Once registration has been completed for a course, you will receive an email with your PIN and instructions within 24 hours of registration. All registrations received after office hours will be processed the next business day. Please note there are no refunds or cancellations for any of these courses once payment has been submitted.
