As part of the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association’s push to help our members meet their short term labour needs and developing a sustainable workforce for the long term, we are proud to promote the Canadian Apprenticeship Service.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Canadian Apprenticeship Services is a program available to employers with less than 500 paid employees. They are eligible for $5,000 or $10,000 grants to off set the costs for hiring and training first year apprentices in 39 Red Seal Trades.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Micro to medium-sized businesses
- Micro (1 to 4 employees)
- Small (5 to 99 employees)
- Medium (100 to 499 employees)
FINANCIAL INCENTIVES:
- $5,000 per apprentice per year for a max of two Level 1 apprentices per employer; or
- $10,000 per apprentice per year for a max of two Level 1 apprentices if the apprentice identifies as being from an under-represented group
