The project involves constructing a 4 m wide multi-use pathway between Ewen Avenue and Boyd Street, along with lighting upgrades, drainage improvements, modifications to the Boyd Street intersection islands and signal timing adjustments.

Works include but not necessarily limited to: Survey layout, traffic management, quality management, removal and disposal of existing structures, produce and supply granular materials, installation of septic field, installation of water well electrical works, grade construction, supply/place asphalt pavement, supply and construct custom washroom facility, intersection upgrades pavement markings, landscaping, site restoration and cleanup.

Work consists of the most common aspects of a crack seal project.

As part of regulatory permitting requirement for Fir Ave bank stabilization work (Site No. S-CW-01), an area between Middlesbrough and Houston bridges is dedicated to the offsetting requirements need for the Coldwater River aquatic footprint disturbances. Work in this area involves sediment excavation for a side channel, live staking, riparian planting, bridge abutment removal, engineered large woody debris log jams and beaver mitigation efforts.

This contract is with BC Timber Sales in the Kootenay Business area and the project consists of 5.3km of new road construction and the installation of an imbedded 1800mm culvert. The road construction involves all phases of road construction including timber cut and removal, end haul, drill and blast rock, and surfacing. There is significant drill and blast rock on this job.

20 Avenue overpass construction. The work generally involves but is not limited to traffic control, erosion and sediment control, road construction and realignment, watermain, drainage improvements, ditching, retaining walls, bridge construction, highway improvements, electrical, concrete sidewalk, multi-use path, topsoil, hydroseed, landscaping and surface restoration.

The work associated with this contract includes construction at two separate sites, referred to as Part A and Part B in the Schedule of Quantities and Prices. General scope for each part is as follows:

Part A - Richmond Road from Newton Street to Bay Street - Work on Richmond Road primarily consists of road reconstruction, paving, sidewalks, curbs, retaining walls, button activated flashers for pedestrian crossings, road markings, signage and minor drainage and water works.
