The Okanagan-Columbia Business Area of BC Timber Sales is inviting tenders for the upgrading and construction of forest service roads within the White Lake Operating Area.

The proposed contract includes constructing approximately 6.4 km of new permanent Forest Service Road to provide access to Timber Sale Licence (TSL) TA2784.

The work includes, but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, excavation, road prism construction, embankment construction, culvert supply and installation, drainage works, surfacing, grading, grass seeding, erosion and sediment control, and all associated works necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract specifications and professional road design.

The Skeena Business Area is advertising a multi-year road and bridge construction contract located at the end of the Copper FSR (60.7km). The work includes 722m of road reconstruction, 668m of new construction and the installation of a 42.6m steel girder bridge. The road reconstruction section has been brushed out and will require some reconstruction consisting of ditching, re-establishing the road surface and pullout construction. The new construction starts from the end of the road reconstruction with 240m through immature timber (3-4m tall). The remaining 428m of new construction is through mature timber. The Ministry will provide the 42.6 m bridge, concrete bridge deck panels, concrete ballast walls, bridge bearing pads, piles, and culverts required for the Work. The Ministry will also supply a 21m or 27 m bridge for use as a temporary crossing. These materials are stored at the Ministry Forest Yard in Terrace, British Columbia, and will be made available to the Contractor for use on the Project. A crane will be supplied at the Ministry yard for loading the bridge components. The Contractor is responsible for transporting, unloading and handling all bridge materials at the site.

Rip rap for bridge construction is anticipated to be sourced from the road construction activities or quarry sites. Rip Rap can be produced from a rock source located 50 m down chain, from the Br.1300 junction and the start of reconstruction. Surfacing aggregate can be generated from an established Rippable rock quarry 1.1 km up the Br.1300 if needed. Bidders are to include the cost of producing and hauling rip rap and surfacing aggregate from the identified quarry locations within the applicable bid line items.

The Ministry will provide a professional engineer to inspect, supervise and sign off on final bridge installation.

The City of North Vancouver (CNV) invites quotations from qualified contractors to provide asphalt pavement crack sealing services on streets, lanes, and other paved municipal surfaces throughout the CNV.

This notice of Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is issued by The Corporation of the City of Vernon in British Columbia, Canada (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Kalamalka Lake Road Construction, as further described in the RFP documents.

The construction of an active transportation network along Kalamalka Lake Road from 14th Avenue to Highway 6, Pottery Road, new traffic signals at Pottery Road and Highway 6, barrier protected multiuse path and cycle paths on Polson Drive, 14th Ave, and Pottery Road from Highway 6 to 15th Street. This RFP also contains associated road reconstruction, drainage works, sanitary upgrades, and active transportation extensions on adjacent streets.

The Works shall include but are not limited to 5,785 metric tonnes of roadway asphalt, 1,905 square meters of full depth milling, 2,295 square meters of reshaping, 30,885 square meters of surface milling, 560 lineal meters of concrete curb and gutter, 830 square meters of concrete sidewalk and driveway crossings, 170 square meters of concrete truck apron, 60 tonnes of asphalt multi-use pathway, 860 metric tonnes of gravel, traffic islands, landscaping, restoration, pavement markings, signage, adjustments, drainage, traffic signals, and streetlighting.
